Roskhill House

We are now looking for a team member to join us to help maintain excellent levels of comfort for all our guests.

You’ll work alongside us to prepare bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, and the kitchen – achieving high-levels of cleanliness while limiting environmental impact.

We’ll work together to ensure that the honesty bar and retail area are well-stocked and displayed.

We’ll share tasks to maintain the outside areas – keeping them presentable and welcoming while also protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of the area.

While we are not looking for a cook or a chef, we will need support to assist with food, bread, and cake preparation too.

About you

Training and equipment will be provided, so no directly transferable experience is needed.

You should be interested in providing great customer service and be able to work at pace, while being attentive to the details.

This post is on a fixed-term basis, for 20 hours a week, until 31st October 2024. These hours will be spread across five days of the week.

We will work with the postholder to agree a weekly schedule. Some weekend work will be required, though.

We anticipate that the working day for this post will start at 930am (after breakfast and once guests begin to depart). A later start may be possible, while being mindful of the need to ensure that the guesthouse is ready to welcome guests every day by 2pm.

Pay and benefits

We will pay £15 per hour for this post.

We will contribute a maximum of 5% towards a pension, matching your contribution.

Statutory holiday entitlement (pro-rata) applies.

Amounts due (after tax) will be made weekly by bank transfer.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide accommodation for the post holder.
